Alcester Bowling Club
Description: Alcester Bowling Club, in Meeting Lane, can be traced back to around 1760 and is one of the most southerly positioned Crown Green bowling greens in the country. Our members take part in competitive bowling in various leagues, mainly in the South Birmingham area. The Club has an active and growing membership and is very pleased to welcome new members whether novices or experienced bowlers – and juniors (under 1 ![]() We have friendly bowling sessions, which a number of members attend, on Monday and Thursday mornings from 10 am and on Saturday afternoon/evening from 3 pm. Open days are held when anyone is welcome to try their hand at Crown Green Bowling. In addition, our members are always available to help anyone at any time who is considering taking up the sport. No experience is necessary as we will show the basics of how to play, the skills and the tactics – all that is needed is a willingness to have a go and learn how to play a new sport which is both skilful and enjoyable. The bowling season generally runs from 1st April, through to the end of September. | ||
