SV Loebichau
| Description: The bowls section of SV Loebichau was formed in the late summer of 2006 following successful two-wood triples tournaments, played to rules adapted for a football pitch, in 2005 and 2006. Since then, one half of the football pitch has been levelled and re-seeded. A further tournament was held in 2007. In May 2008, ditches and banks along two sides were completed. The 2008 tournament was satged on 31st May, and attracted teams from Meppen, Sulzbach (near Frankfurt am Main), Leipzig and Zwickau. Completion of the other two is scheduled for July 2008. On 2nd August the club will host a Tournament For Altenburger Land involving teams from firms within the county of Altenburg. The event comes under the umbrella of a government sponsored scheme "365 Ideas from Germany" and we expected to attract national media coverage. | ||
