Herne Bay Bowling Club
| Description: Herne Bay Bowling Club is situated in the town's Memorial Park and is approximately 400 yards from the railway station and 500 yards from the sea front. The club was founded in 1926 and hosts several Open Tournaments throughout the season. During the close season, short mat bowls is played in the clubhouse. Visitors to the club will find that the town of Herne Bay has much to offer to enhance their visit. The sea front has undergone a 3 million pound facelift, which has restored many of the original Victorian features. This together with additional facilities has made Herne Bay very popular with both day-trippers and longer-term visitors. | ||
