Polmaise Bowling Club
| Description: Polmaise Bowling club funded in 1911 in the mining village of Fallin 3 miles from the City of Stirling. At present has only around 20 odd members. In 1987 with only 40 members they won the Scottish Top Ten and have reache the semi-finals stages twice only to be beaten by the winners. Has been reported that since the Scottish finals moved to Ayr that Polmaise has the highest record of appearances at the finals. with S.Deans beaten in the Final by D.Gourly, The Scottish and Brittish Triples winners John Johnstne, Derek Logue and Jason Williams and beaten Finalist in 2008 in the Triples David McEwan, Peter M. Black and Sandy Deans. The club can also boost the Scottish under 16 champions Mark Bone and Indoor and out doors champion Gary Malcomeson. The Scottish under 25 indoor team captian Ian Bone. The under 16 finalist in Singles and Pairs for 2008. | ||
