I have played for new milton bowls club since my wife died just over four years ago, it was my life saver, I just wanted to mention the friendly match we had with your club here at home last night sun the 18th what a great bunch of jokers you always send out to us, bowls is a lovely game and played in the manner in which is was played last night makes it even better, I have got to know most of the waterside lads now and its always a pleasure to meet them again, I think this small poem sums it all up.
from quiet homes and hard beginnings,
out to undiscovered ends,
there is nothing better than the way of winning,
the laughter and the love of friends.
I look fwd to our next meeting.
best regards .
