The Shipley Club
| Description: The club has been in existance for over 100 years originally as a gentlemans club with a bowling green used just for social bowling. But a dwindleing membership meant something had to be done, bowling was reintroduced some ten years ago since then it has gone from strength to strength. There are now eighteen teams playing over the course of a week in various local leagues, bowling not only on the clubs green but two council greens aswell. The teams play in the Airedale and Wharfedale, the Bradford and the West Riding and Spen leagues. http://www.shipleyclub.co.uk/ | ||
