Mersea Island Bowling Club
| Description: Mersea Island Bowling Club was formed in 1932 as a limited company wholely owned by the members. We own the green, grounds and clubhouse outright. Everything is done by volunteers and we encourage all members to play a part and help where they can, making it a real members club. Casual bowling - you can just turn up and have a game on an empty rink. Social bowling - Club drives, friendly games against other clubs, and club evenings. We also arrange other, slightly more competitive events within the club. League bowling - Our Ladies compete in the North West Essex league and the Men in the Colchester Borough leagues. Competitive bowling - you will have the opportunity to compete in Club, Colchester Borough, Essex County or National competitions, either as an individual or part of a team. You will also be considered to represent the Club in similar competitions. Please feel free to come and see us and what we can offer. Beginners are welcome and we offer coaching to get you started. | ||
