Victoria Bowling Club
| Description: A gentleman's summer outdoor lawn bowling club founded in 1870, The Victoria Bowling Club is situated in Norwich in quiet extensive grounds with delightful gardens. It has a professionally maintained green, and a Clubhouse supported by stewardess service. The club offers casual play most weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings, where a game is guaranteed shortly after arrival. Internal cup competitions are run throughout the summer season but the Club does not play in any leagues or away games against other clubs. Triples matches are played on Monday, Tuesday and Fridays early evening with teams being randomly selected on the day. Internal competitions use a handicap system, and teams and playing order are randomly decided by lot. Membership is by invitation and anybody interested in joining should contact the club requesting to speak to any committee member for a further discussion. Even if you have never played bowls before the club would welcome you and assist in giving instruction and guidance to improve your game. | ||
