Newhaven Bowling Club


Description: We are a mixed outdoor club with a 6 rink green and our own clubhouse with refreshment facilities. We welcome touring clubs from May to September and play a mix of friendly and league matches. We also have a Junior Section that meet between 1000 & 1100 on Saturday mornings. Youngsters from the age of 5 are welcome. We have flat access to the green and adequate nearby parking. New members of any ability will be welcomed.

Mrs Belinda Parker on 10^th January 2010 (): Dear Sir/Madame,
I am unsure if you are able to help but i am looking for any information regarding my Great Grandfather ,Benjanin Thompson who came second in the Newhaven Bowls Championship in 1905 .
Attached to his pocket watch is a small silver and gold decorative plaque which has this information engraved on it .
The Thompson family had a bakery in newhavern round about this time.They also had some thing to do with the building of a church in Newhavern .
If you know of anyone at all who might have pictures or any information of any kind who i could get intouch with i would really appreciate it .
I am trying any angle to obtain information as i only have this watch which my father left me and a large oil painting of him . He had white hair and a white beard .
