Crofthead Bowling Club
| Description: Crofthead Bowling Club was originally formed in 1921 as part of the English Sewing Company workers’ recreation club. The original bowling green was situated at CowdenHall. In 1959 the present bowling green, built by Mill workers, was opened. In the 1990’s the Club and the Green were purchased by the Members and a Members lounge was built. This was completed in the late 1990’s. At present our Club has 3 sections. Gents, Ladies and Juniors. We also have 4 qualified Scottish Bowls coaches. Junior Members do not pay till they reach 16 years old. | ||
