Skerries Bowls Club

Description:
Founded in 1985 as an indoor club, Skerries, with the support of Fingal County Council, became - in 1993 0 the first club in the Republic to lay a synthetic outdoor rink. The club is a member of Division 2 of the BLI, and in 2008 will celebrate their silver anniversary. In the final quarter of 2008, the club in undergoing a major transformation. The 'old' clubhouse is to be demolished, and a new System-built 74' x 24' clubhouse, of the highest standard is being erected. On completion of the building, the club has also undertaken to teplace their playing surface, and Greenguage, will lay a new surface for us early this coming December.

The new clubhouse will accommodate two 45' indoor rinks, which, we hope, will increase our playing membership.

The official unvailing of the new premises will probably take place earle in 2008, when we will invite all of our "Friends" from far and wide to come and celebrate with us.
