Minehead Bowls Club
| Description: Minehead Bowls Club (owned by members) was formed in 1917, and they their single Indoor rink and new Clubhouse in 1971. In 1991 they opened their extended and now L shaped Clughouse with additional 2 Indoor rinks. As a mixed Club, Full Membership allows involvement in Outdoor flat green and Indoor bowls with full affiliation to EBA,EIBA,EWBA,EWIBA, Somerset County BA, SCIBA,SCLadiesBA and SCWomensIBA. With Minehead being on the edge of the Exmoor National Park, and with Butlins and numerous local B&B premises, accommodation for touring teams can easy and accessible. Touring teams are welcome, after making initial contact with Somerset County Bowling Assc, and with other 3 local outdoor clubs in the West Somerset area at Porlock,Watchet and Williton you could make up a mini tour with ease. The Indoor rinks are open for use throughout the year, with a full Indoor programme, and also a Summer Indoor League takes place on 2 mornings, 2 afternoons and 2 evenings each week. The Outdoor 6 rink green is available for use by visitors throughout the summer on Mon,Wed and Fri mornings and any weekday afternoons, dependant on the Clubs extensive fixtures. | ||
