Belvidere Bowling Club

Description:
Belvidere Bowling Club started in 1861 and proudly celebrates 150 years this year! We currently have over 100 members (male and female) ranging from 6 years old to 80+. There are younger members joining every year and we like to have fun when playing. We have two greens which are in excellent condition - some say they are the best greens to play on within the locale. We have entertainment every Saturday night for members and friends. We have two halls - one of which has a pool table and darts board. We are looking forward to 2014 as we are the nearest club to where the commonwealth village is currently being built. We are currently open to new membership requests and welcome all to apply.

Hi, I was at your club as a visitor on Sunday 11th May. 2014.I found it to be very friendly with polite and welcoming bar staff and committee. As a former member ofBuckhaven Bowling Club in Fife I am now relocating to Glasgow and would like to become a bowling member of your club. I woul be grateful if you could tell me what your annual fees are.yours sincerely , Alan Ross.

Hello, I used to live at no 26 Silverdale Street, opposite the gate to the bowling club (1960s - early 70s). I have some family pics of us standing over at the privet hedge, my Gran lived at number 18 and her bay window room at the front overlooked the green nearest London Road. She spent many an afternoon with her best friend watching the bowling from her window. I used to love coming over for the jumble sales! I wonder if you are having any events for your 150th anniversary, it would be lovely to hear about them. Glad to see you're still in business!
