Liberton Bowling Club

Description:
A modern, ambitious Club with a thriving membership providing the local south Edinburgh residents the opportunity to play bowls socially and also competitively within the Scottish and Edinburgh official associations.
Founded in 1890 the Club is steeped in history through two World Wars where there were bomb shelters within the Club grounds.
These days a continual programme of refurbishment is pursued by the Committee of Management and this has enabled considerable modernisation of all the facilities within and outwith the Clubhouse.
A Ladies Section and a Senior Mens Section plus the opportunity for Junior Membership are all available while the Club is fortunate to have within its Membership a qualified Advanced Coach and an International Umpire.
New Members are encouraged all year round with several internal social clubs in the non-bowling season. Potential Members can attend coaching sessions prior to joining and from time to time there is a specific Open Day to allow local residents to sample the great facilities.
